As the Topic suggest I dont know much about PvP and this is purely from a PvE perspective:
Hunters are in a good place when it comes to having a role in a raid, there is always need for a dps with some sort of immunity, MM dps is good AoE and exceptional ST.
BUT (there is always one), from what ive experienced in Mythic, their survivability is very limited compared to other classes, and as the dps !@#$% I am, Im not willing to have to use Prydaz, its a glorified statstic, that has its uses in high M+. What Im trying to say is that Hunters have Exhilaration (2min CD) and Aspect of the Turtle (3 min CD, unlesss you are a BM or SV using the bracers with 30% reduced CD to Aspect abilities). Which means, if you are going into a fight like Sisters on Mythic in Tomb of Sargeras and have ^-*!ty RNG with the Glaives we have 1 CD that can mitigate a 1 shot unless you call for an external, which are limited if you have more than 1 hunter in the grp. Ive been killed so many times to one ability just because I dont have a small damage reduction CD (yes I use dissengage as well (only MM), its not big enough, and prydaz is useless as its never up because of the constant damage taken (Sisters Mythic specific)). Hunters are the only class that has to say: @#$% MOBILITY to survive, and as a ranged dps where positioning is key and being mobile is and absolute must to be able to both survive and dps, you might as well just give up on DPS to be able to to survive, because a dead dps does no dps. Its just really frustrating to have to not just have a 20% damage reduction on a 1 min CD, that would literally fix the issue.
