Hello,
I was in my local metal detector sales store today and asked this question in the title. The answer I was given was to go with the Surf PI. as though the Beach Hunter discriminates the shop has more returns on them with problems of them discriminating and having the machines sent back to Whites either for repair of and that most user's do not like the detector. and was recommended to get the Surf PI. where because of the simplicity of the detector most people were turning to this machine. Is this true? I know the difference's between both machines ie PI vs Vlf and have researching a lot of forums and sites trying to figure out which one to buy. I had thought that since I would possibly moving to either NC, TN, Al or in these areas I would not be scuba diving but doing beach or surf detecting most of the time I had thought possibly the Beach Hunter would be a better choice but not with all the problems it might be having. The reviews all seem split on which one to go with.
Any advice you can give me?
